Textile supports emerging writers and artists in Waterloo Region, particularly those from historically excluded and marginalized groups. In September 2024, they hosted Black Talk, a landmark gathering featuring Hanif Abdurraqib and Antonio Michael Downing, which was supported by WRCF.

Today IS THE BIG DAY!! Join us on February 9 for the winter exhibitions opening Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery featuring Bangishimo Johnston's solo exhibit, “The Medicines We Carry”, running from February 10 to May 12.
Textile members Fitsum Areguy and Shalaka Jadhav supported Bangishimo as the City of Kitchener Artist-in-Residence, during which Bangishimo developed the works for “The Medicines We Carry”.

We would like to invite you to be part of the IMPACT23 Festival Makers Market.
IMPACT is a biennial international theatre festival that MT Space holds in Downtown Kitchener.
This year, we would like to have a local market and we would love if you could be part of it!
