It’s been a great summer but it’s time to get ready for school over here which has meant pulling out the kits for some brain building fun!! Some ways to play with the letter kits include hiding the letters in the rice and using the tongs to find them. With my boys they take turns hiding the letters for each other. We also write the letters on the piece of paper and match them helping with letter recognition and I also write words for my older son to match the letters to help his language and literacy. They also like finding the letters to their names! Once all the letters are out you can sing the ABCs to help your child put the letters in order. Another great way to extend this theme is by reading the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. What will happen to all the letters?!?!
