Swallowtail sipping a lavender cordial in the sun!

H.R. MacMillan (1885–1976) was one of British Columbia’s most influential foresters, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists. Founder of MacMillan Bloedel, he helped shape Canada’s forest industry while championing responsible forest management. Beyond forestry, his generosity transformed education, health care, science, the arts, and conservation. His legacy lives on through institutions, scholarships, parks, and communities across British Columbia.

- Was designed and fabricated in the Ladysmith Main Machine Shop
- Used to off load rail cars at Ladysmith

- Engine has been repaired and runs well
- Rusty areas on the body and floor were cut out and new metal welded in
- New timbers were cut for bumpers and fastened to the back and front replacing the old rotten ones
- Painted the original yellow colour
