No-Gi BJJ fundamentals picture drop 😎🤙
The basics are never basic. Every sweep, escape, takedown, and submission starts with a strong foundation.
Building skills one round at a time, sharpening technique, and putting in the work behind the scenes. The fundamentals are what hold up everything else.
Not every technique we train is something we expect to use in a fight.
In boxing and kickboxing, we sometimes work on techniques like axe kicks, spinning back kicks, and other dynamic movements. While they may not be part of everyone’s competition game, learning them helps develop flexibility, coordination, balance, timing, body awareness, and creativity.
The goal isn’t just to collect techniques—it’s to become a more complete martial artist. Exploring different movements challenges the body and mind, keeps training fun, and helps athletes discover what works best for them.
And sometimes Coach Alesia .belesiaaa likes to bring a little bit of her Kyokushin karate roots into class. 🥋🔥 After all, that’s where the martial arts journey began.
Train hard, stay curious, and never stop learning.
