Did you know?

At Leduc Fire Services, we’re continually advancing how we deliver prehospital medical care—combining cutting-edge technology with high-performance training to give our patients the best possible chance when it matters most.

šŸš‘ Advanced Technology in the Fieldļæ½
Our crews are equipped with tools typically found in hospital settings, including:ļæ½
• i-STAT Alinity blood analysis devices, allowing us to perform lab testing before arriving at the hospital and guide critical treatment decisions early.ļæ½
• McGrath video laryngoscopes, improving success rates in managing difficult airways.ļæ½
• LUCAS mechanical CPR devices, delivering consistent, high-quality chest compressions while freeing up our team to perform other life-saving interventions.

šŸŽ“ Ongoing, High-Level Trainingļæ½
We invest heavily in our people through:ļæ½
• Department-wide training alongside STARS Air Ambulance flight medics, including advanced airway management courses.ļæ½
• High-performance CPR training, focused on precision, teamwork, and minimizing interruptions in chest compressions—from 10 seconds down to as little as 3 seconds.

šŸ“ˆ Real Results That Matterļæ½
Through this combination of innovation and training, we’ve seen a significant improvement in outcomes for cardiac arrest patients.

Over the past 24 months, our return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) rates in cardiac arrests have increased from approximately 10% to 35–40%.

Behind every number is a life, a family, and a community.

We’re proud of the progress—and committed to continuing to raise the standard of care for those we serve.

In Leduc, we do not have separate silos because we have a unified Fire/EMS team.

This Means the first responders at your door are equipped to handle both medical emergencies and fire suppression the moment they arrive.

This integrated model is about one thing: SAVING TIME WHEN SECONDS COUNT.

Right now, provincial changes could put this seamless service at risk.

We believe a unified team is the safest way to serve Leduc.
