• Propagation Hack •

If you’ve ever tried propagating a plant you know that patience is key! While some plants take longer than others to root there’s a way to get even the slowest growers to root quicker.

All you have to do is propagate a slow rooting plant with a quick rooting cutting!

When a (viable) cutting is placed in water it starts producing a rooting hormone called auxin. The auxin leeches into the water helping the slower rooting plant root even quicker!

Quick rooters: Pothos, spider plant, willow, some philodendron, begonia, string of plants

Slow rooters: monstera, ZZ, snake plant, large leaf philodendrons, ficus
