So much fun learning about horses, building confidence, and playing games with our amazing young riders! From horse knowledge to hands-on activities, everyone did a fantastic job tonight. ❤️

Watching these little equestrians learn, laugh, and grow each week is one of the best parts of what we do. We can’t wait for next Wednesday’s adventures!

Horse Nutrition Fun Fact! 🌾🥕

Did you know that a horse’s stomach is surprisingly small for such a big animal?

A horse’s stomach only holds about 2–4 gallons (8–15 litres), which is tiny compared to their size! That’s why horses are designed to eat small amounts of food throughout the day instead of having a few large meals like people do.

In the wild, horses spend 16–18 hours a day grazing on grasses and plants. Their digestive system works best when food is moving through it regularly.

• Lots of forage (hay or grass) helps keep their tummy healthy.
• Fresh water is essential every day.
• Grain and treats should only be fed in appropriate amounts.
• Sudden feed changes can upset a horse’s digestive system.
