🏘️ ACORN London had a great East of Adelaide chapter meeting! 🎉🤝

We had a strong turnout and a really useful discussion about what’s happening at City Hall.

📌 What’s the issue?
City Council is looking at changes to London’s Residential Rental Unit Licensing (RRUL) program — the system that’s supposed to ensure rental units meet basic health & safety rules.

🔍 Why it matters for renters:
When licensing info isn’t easy to find, renters can’t verify if a unit is compliant, and accountability gets pushed onto tenants after harm happens.

✅ Our message to Council: More transparency = better safety + real accountability.
📣 That’s why ACORN members are encouraging everyone to email the Mayor + Councillors and tell them: public, easy-to-check licensing is GOOD for renters:
