Mourning Breaks

Another gorgeous morning for a Walk & Talk session. 🌳💙

As I took some time to ground into the space ahead of my client arriving, a cheeky little red-winged blackbird landed on the metal beam of the bridge* just over my shoulder.

After filming this little clip for you, I closed my eyes, and simply stood quietly listening to the sounds of the Deshkan Ziibi and the rhythmic song of this curious winged sentinel.

This work is medicine…an honour, a privilege, a joy.💛

*Fun fact: did you know that the Blackfriars bridge, a wrought-iron bowstring arch-truss bridge in is the oldest wrought-iron bridge in North America still used for vehicular traffic? (I’ll take a picture of the bridge for you next time!)
