As a certified personal trainer, I help women become stronger and healthier versions of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This was a conversation I had with one of my clients today. I was checking in on her since she was two weeks post op from a hip surgery.

I started her on a structured strength training plan back in August. She made her workouts a priority, knowing how important it was to build muscle in her 60s. πŸ’ͺ🏼

Because of the muscle mass that she had gained pre op, she has been recovering so well that even her physiotherapist is amazed. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

The truth is when someone goes into surgery with more muscle, strength, and stability, they give their body a better starting point to recover.

Muscle acts like a reserve. When your body is under stress, it pulls from that reserve to repair and rebuild.

Without it, recovery is often:
☹️ slower
☹️ harder
☹️ more limiting

Strength training can help:
πŸ”₯ reduce muscle loss
πŸ”₯ improve circulation
πŸ”₯ support tissue repair
πŸ”₯ speed up return to normal activity

This is one of many reasons why strength training is important.

You don’t wait until after surgery to take care of your body. You build it up before. πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ

The scale is just one tool, not the whole story. Progress shows up in so many subtle ways. πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

Your clothes fit better. πŸ’ƒπŸΌ
You have more energy. πŸƒ
You’re getting stronger. πŸ’ͺ🏼
Your mood is improving. 😎
You’re sleeping better. 😴
Healthy habits feel easier. 🌟
You feel more confident. πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Keep going β€” the changes are happening even when the scale doesn’t move.
