Who's as excited as us for this growing season? Spring is such an energizing time filled with hope, excitement, and anticipation.

Pictured above, a 20 gallon grow bag filled with some beautiful red bok choy, several varieties of sweet peas, and a dazzling blue kale chillin in the corner.

These fabric pots are a great choice for gardeners with limited space. These large ones can hold just about anything. We've used them to grow tomatoes, peppers, onions, greens, and our favourite, potatoes 🥔🤤

While buying seed potatoes is one of the more expensive starts to invest in, we highly recommend trying them solely for the experience of eating a fresh, out of the ground potato. The taste and texture is vastly different from grocery store potatoes.

We purchase our seed potatoes from Anything Grows, located at the Western Fair Grounds Market. They may still have some bags left if you'd like to experiment with a hands off, rewarding, tasty crop.

These Fresh Starts are looking big and beautiful & are just about ready to go home with you! 🌱

We will be opening our online store front this weekend so stay tuned. We did not want to open before the weather started to warm up as we want your Fresh Starts to have a strong start in their new home. Many big box stores and nursery retailers will have plants for sale before the weather is warm enough for them to survive, leaving consumers feeling like they lack that green thumb 😕 If you've ever had this experience rest assured you are perfectly capable of caring for plants and cultivating that thumb!
We wanted to ensure this would not be anyone's experience with their Fresh Starts, deciding to wait to make our products available until the temperatures outside are just right ☀️
We want you to have a successful harvest! We will be posting tips on all our varieties throughout the season to stay connected to our growing community and be a resource to all those who have ever felt that they lacked the magic touch. Anyone can develop the skills required to have a successful garden, whether it's one pot or a large backyard. Good news - plants want to grow! They will be working right along side you to ensure a glorious harvest and so will we! 🌱

Your Fresh Starts have been growing happily since March❄️

Today was their frist day outside in the sun☀️

This marks the beginning of their hardening-off period - the practice of slowly acclimatizing the seedlings to outdoor conditions. This means that when they go home with you they will be ready to be planted and won't suffer from being scolded by the sun or blown over by the wind. A strong seedling is the beginning of a successful growing season and an abundance of tasty treats 🍅🍆🌶️
