The emergency you hope never happens is the one you have to prepare for. 💙
For many community hospitals, paediatric emergencies are rare — but that’s exactly why preparation is so important.

Through the Paediatric Regional Outreach Program (PROP), Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is bringing hands-on simulation training directly to hospitals across Western Ontario. By practicing real-life emergency scenarios in their own clinical environments, teams build the confidence, communication, and skills they need before those critical moments arrive.

Thanks to support from Children’s Health Foundation donors, PROP is helping ensure more than 1,100 health care professionals have access to specialized paediatric emergency training — strengthening care for children and families across the region.

Today, something powerful happened in our community.

At Paediatric Headache Day: Making the Invisible Visible, we had the privilege of hearing from some of the bravest people we know – our Patient Ambassadors. Children and teens who live with migraines and headaches every day, and who chose to share their experiences so that others might feel less alone.

Their courage filled the room. Their words reminded us why this work matters so deeply.

To our patients, families, physicians, partners, and everyone who joined us – thank you for showing up and for helping us shine a light on what so many children carry in silence.

The invisible is becoming visible. Together.
