Before construction begins, every finish, texture, material, and hardware selection is carefully considered to ensure the final space feels cohesive, functional, and timeless.

Dan has been a valued member of the Clay team for over 16 years. He began his career in the field as a Lead Carpenter, building a reputation for his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and expertise in tile installation. Whether it was kitchens, bathrooms, or custom tile work of any kind, Dan's skill and dedication consistently delivered exceptional results for clients.

In 2026, Dan transitioned into the office as an Estimator, bringing with him years of hands-on construction experience and practical knowledge. His deep understanding of the building process allows him to provide accurate, thoughtful estimates and valuable insight to both clients and project teams.

Outside of work, Dan is passionate about cooking and spending time around the grill. He enjoys preparing breakfast and dinner on his flat-top barbecue and is always experimenting with slow-smoking meats, chicken, fish, and beans. Whether on the job site or in the backyard, Dan takes pride in his craft and enjoys creating something great for others to enjoy.

One of the most rewarding parts of working on a restoration project is uncovering the craftsmanship that's been hidden for decades.

The original hardware was so heavily coated in layers of paint that many of the details had completely disappeared. After carefully stripping the paint away, the intricate design emerged - revealing what we believe to be the original hardware installed when the home was first built.

The same was true for the hinges. Beneath years of paint, the original Baldwin name was still there, hidden in plain sight.

Restoration is about more than preserving a building. It's about respecting its history, celebrating its craftsmanship, and bringing those details back into view for another generation.
