Kimly Mengyin Wang, born in 1993 in Nanyang, started to play piano at the age of 5, studied piano at Musik Gymnasium C.P. E Bach (music pre-college) in Berlin Germany before she immigrated to Canada. She holds a Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano and a Bachelor’s degree in Solo Piano Performance from Western University, where she studied under Dr. John Hess and Dr. Leslie Kinton. As young artist, Kimly has appeared on stage in North America, Europe and China at festivals such as Bowdoin International Music Festival, La Musica Lirica, Chinese-Canadian Performing Arts Festival and Accademia Europea Dell’Opera among others. She is prizewinner of the KAWAI Music Competition and Germany Youth Music Competition. Kimly is currently working as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach at Western University.
