Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Suntech Greenhouses and seeing firsthand the incredible work being done to grow fresh, local produce right here in Carleton.
It was great to tour the facility and learn more about the dedication and innovation behind local food production. I encourage everyone to visit Suntech Greenhouses and enjoy some of the excellent produce grown in our community.

Yesterday was National Indigenous Peoples Day, and I was proud to attend the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival. It was a meaningful day to celebrate, and honour Indigenous Peoples.
Reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and I will always support Indigenous communities every day through listening, learning, and taking meaningful action.

Today, on Pollinator Appreciation Day, I joined Wild Pollinator Partners at Fletcher Wildlife Garden to celebrate the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems and communities.
This year’s theme, “Every Bit Matters,” is a reminder that simple actions planting native flowers, trees, and pollinator gardens can make a meaningful difference.
I was fortunate to plant a tree and meet with community members, scientists, and organizations dedicated to protecting pollinators and strengthening biodiversity in our region. Thank you to everyone working to create a more biodiverse and climate resilient future!

Today, the House of Commons adjourned until the fall, concluding my first session in Parliament! It has been a privilege to represent you and bring your voices and priorities to Parliament.
Thank you to my dedicated staff, my fellow colleagues, and most importantly to everyone in Carleton I’ve had the opportunity to meet or connected with! I am here to serve and support you anyway I can as your Member of Parliament.
Although Parliament is adjourned, my work continues. I look forward to spending the summer across Carleton, connecting with constituents and our great community.
I look forward to returning to Parliament in the fall and continuing our work together.

Cpl. Ricardo Taylor of 3rd Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, sheds a tear during a ramp ceremony for fallen comrades Sgt. Robert Short, 41, and Cpl. Robbie Beerenfenger, 29. The pair were killed two days previous when the Iltis jeep in which they were patrolling was destroyed by a stack of anti-tank mines buried in a dry creek bed south of Kabul. They were the first Canadian regulars lost to enemy action in Afghanistan- photo by Stephen Thorne
Canada Day, Historian Kathy Grant travels to Montreal to meet with Silver Cross mother Agatha Dyer to record her son Ainsworth's childhood dream of becoming a soldier
Last night I was honoured to have the opportunity to take part in the Whips’ Walk in the House of Commons.
As the bells ring and Members gather to vote, the Whips of both the government and the Official Opposition (or their delegates, like me) enter the Chamber together, walk up the aisle, and bow to one another before taking their seats.
This special convention signals to the Speaker that the House is ready to proceed with the vote. I was honoured to have the opportunity to take part in it!
Good news! This Saturday, June 20th, the Welcome to Stittsville Multicultural Festival returns to Village Square Park.
I encourage everyone to attend this celebration of the diverse cultures and traditions that enrich our community and strengthen Canada. See you there!
