Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue

Last night around 4:30pm ( July 14, 2026 ) Ridge Meadows SAR was tasked out to rescue a subject who sustained an ankle injury on the Evans Peak trail.
A ground team hiked up to the subject. Upon assessment it was determined that the best way to extract him from the location was by hoist.
One Class D tech from Ridge Meadows SAR and one Class D tech from Coquitlam SAR were able to reach the subject and hoist out. The subject was then transferred to the care of his family and taken to hospital.
Ground team hiked back out safely.
