Grateful for sunny winter days for beaver co-existence!

The crew is out today supporting municipalities and the local community with flooding concerns related to beaver activity.

By keeping beavers in place while managing the pain points related to water flow, we can ensure prolonged environmental benefits 🌲

“Tell me you love what you do, without telling me you love what you do” 💚

When we say we are passionate about conservation & humane wildlife management, and that it brings us joy - we certainly mean it!

Happy Thursday all, we are out implementing beaver-human coexistence to mitigate flooding while upholding the environmental benefits of keeping them in place! 🦫💦

Safety first…even when it comes to beavers! 🦫🌲

The crew is out today supporting Public Works, residents and the environment through tree wrapping to reduce safety risks and riparian zone degradation from beaver related tree felling.

Flow control is an excellent co-existence management tool to mitigate conflict between beavers, people and infrastructure 🦫💦🌲

🌲Warmer days! The team were back out near Vanderhoof, BC supporting Nechako Environment and Water Stewardship Society & BC Wildlife Federation for stage 2 in managing water levels and supporting beaver-fish co-existence.

Second pic is what it looked like in stage 1 last year - we sure were mighty chilly!

✨Big shoutout to our partners Nechako Environment and Water Stewardship Society & BC Wildlife Federation for making this possible!

What do beavers and roads have in common? The use of culverts!

Beavers play a vital ecological role by creating wetlands that support biodiversity, but their dam-building instincts often conflict with transportation infrastructure.

Plugging culverts, can lead to significant infrastructure damage, roadway flooding, and costly washouts.

Our team were recently up in the Nechako Valley, BC to provide training to highway staff on sustainable beaver management to protect infrastructure and public safety while upholding the ecological health of the area.

Kudos to our partners on this project, another great example of co-existence! 🦫
