Today, I wanted to share something a little more personal.

For the past year, I’ve been under the care of the incredible team at BC Cancer in Abbotsford while undergoing treatment for a brain tumour.

My treatment is relatively simple on paper (one pill a week) but anyone who has walked a medical journey knows that “simple” doesn’t always mean easy. There have been questions, side effects, worries, and plenty of moments where I needed guidance. Through all of it, the nurses and pharmacists have been kind, patient, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. They have made a difficult season much easier to navigate, and I am deeply grateful for every one of them.

This week I received news that was both disappointing and encouraging. After a year of treatment, the tumour has not shrunk. However, it also has not grown, which is something I am choosing to be thankful for. More bloodwork is coming up as we continue trying to understand what is happening.

On a brighter note, for the first time in what feels like forever, my vitamin D levels are finally in the normal range. I’ll happily celebrate every win, no matter how small. ☀️

Many of you know me through my products, but behind every order packed and every formula created is a real person navigating life’s challenges just like everyone else. Alongside the brain tumour journey, I am also two years into monitoring a small breast mass that doctors are still trying to identify. For now, that means regular ultrasounds and mammograms every six months while we continue to watch and wait.

I don’t share this for sympathy. I share it because life is rarely as polished as social media makes it seem, and because I want to publicly thank the healthcare professionals who continue to show up with compassion, expertise, and care.
