💪 Farmer Bale Toss

People romanticize farm life a lot, but they rarely see the physical grit behind it.
🚜There's gym strong, and then there's farm strong. Throwing heavy bales under the blazing sun is a workout no commercial gym can replicate.

🐴Think you have what it takes to beat the real workhorses?
2 chances to participate:
Saturday September 26 & Sunday September 27
Registration 10 am & first throw at 11 am

Last night, our 'Director's Choice, obviously!' trivia team enjoyed great hospitality for a fun night out in support of Ambassador program.

🧐 Next time you enjoy a warm stack of pancakes, think about how it takes approximately 40 litres of sap boiled down to get 1 full litre of maple syrup!

🥛 Happy World Milk Day! 🇨🇦

Today also marks the beginning of Local Food Week in Ontario, making it the perfect time to celebrate the incredible farmers, food producers, processors, retailers, and consumers who help put safe, nutritious food on our tables every day.

As a Canadian dairy farmer, I couldn’t be prouder of what we do. Every day, my family and thousands of other farm families across Canada work hard to care for our animals and produce high-quality milk that families can trust. Here’s something that may surprise some people - we’re consumers too! Just like everyone else, we shop at our local grocery stores, buy Canadian dairy products, and support local farm markets and food businesses whenever we can.

Canadian dairy farmers are part of a small group of people who help feed a growing population. It’s a responsibility that we take seriously. The milk produced on Canadian farms is packed with essential nutrients including calcium, protein, vitamin D, and other important vitamins and minerals that help build strong bones and healthy bodies.

What makes me especially proud is the care that goes into producing that milk. Canadian dairy farms operate under some of the highest animal care standards in the world. Our cows receive regular veterinary care, comfortable housing, balanced nutrition, and daily attention because healthy, happy cows produce the best milk.

Food safety is another area where Canada shines. From the farm to the processing plant to the grocery store shelf, Canadian milk is tested and monitored through rigorous quality assurance programs. Canadians enjoy one of the safest and most reliable food systems anywhere in the world, with an incredible variety of choices available year-round.

As we celebrate World Milk Day and Local Food Week, I encourage everyone to support Canadian agriculture whenever possible. Visit a local farm market, choose Canadian dairy products, buy local produce, and support the family farms and food businesses that strengthen our communities.

I’d love to hear from you so tag your favourite local farmer, producer, farm market, or food business in the comments and let’s give them some well-deserved recognition today! 🌽🥕🥛🍓 🍎

Together, we’re supporting local families, local communities, and Canadian agriculture.
