The world’s leading manufacturer of stone wool insulation.

In the aftermath of the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California, the Curran family faced the difficult process of planning how to rebuild the home they had been renovating.

One detail stayed with them. The ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation they had planned to install remained intact on their property.

That experience strengthened the family’s trust in the material, and the role noncombustible insulation can play in more resilient construction.

As they move forward with rebuilding their forever home, the Currans plan to incorporate ROCKWOOL Comfortboard continuous insulation as part of their exterior assembly—helping support a stronger, more resilient design.

When fire safety is part of the design conversation, interior walls play an important role. Passive fire protection helps slow the spread of fire and smoke, supporting evacuation and emergency response.

Fire rated interior partitions that include noncombustible stone wool insulation help support safer building performance in high occupancy spaces such as classrooms, hallways, and patient areas.

AFB is used within these assemblies to help meet fire rating requirements while supporting occupant comfort and long term durability.
Designing public buildings means planning for everyday use and for moments that matter most.

The agenda is set for the ROCKWOOL Learning Lounge at AIA.

Across two days, we’re hosting focused sessions that explore the realities facing today’s design community—scaling high-performance standards, designing for wildfire risk, advancing decarbonization pathways, improving occupant wellbeing, and approaching retrofit projects with long-term durability in mind.

Each discussion brings together industry experts and practitioners with project-based insight and technical depth.

If you’re attending AIA, we encourage you to review the agenda and plan time to join us to earn one AIA LU Credit per session.

We look forward to welcoming you.
