I love quiet mornings to myself.

I enjoy the slow start to spite knowing that I am also my most productive at that time of day. I am truly a flitter and flow type of gal at heart. I enjoy a little of this and a little of that, making progress along the way. I guess that is what I have been doing these last 8 months since my mom left this earthly plain.

I have given myself the gift of time. To rest, hibernate if you will and allowed myself to do a little of this and that. I have been practicing quiet. Quiet and listening to the nudges and acting on them.

You know the truth is that in the beginning right after my mom died I felt like my brain was screaming at me, "DIVE BACK IN!" That voice of panic saying "what now?" "You need to_________. You need to__________. You need to________. You should________. You should____________ You should____________." Others echoed these out loud as well.

It felt disarming.

I knew I needed a HOT minute. I also recognized I had the gift of time to actually take it and spend some time in the quiet.(I realize that is not a gift afforded to everyone) I painted and created, I read, I ran errands daily with my dad to "get out," I played cards with my niece and nephew enjoyed weekly dinners with siblings and played more cards and laughed. I spent time in person or on the phone with friends. I celebrated my favourite people's wins and talked through the tough spots. There are always tough spots. I started to move my body regularly again.

And.... always at the back of my mind, questions. How do I want to show up in the/my world? How do I want to serve and contribute heading into this next chapter of my life? Ideas, thoughts, inspirations and excitements are showing up. I am energized to start sharing and creating a community of those I resonate with and who resonate with me. YAY! I am soooooooo grateful I took that HOT minute! lol It has lead me here. I am coming out of hibernation and engaging in the world again. Thanks for your lovely patience!

So... Hi👋, again.
How are YOU?

My most amazing mom passed away Tuesday morning. 😞 She was 87. She made a huge impact in her world. She had this amazing way of reminding you who you were. Even when you forgot, she never did. She always saw your light! It was her gift and I know a lot would agree with me. If you had the opportunity to spend time with her you left feeling better than you came! I love that quietly she made things happen and created a beautiful safe place to land for anyone who knew her and of course her family! She loved to laugh and dance and make merry as they say! We did it a LOT! She always made the best of situations. It’s hard to sum up such an amazing mom and sister and aunt and friend and peer and acquaintance… she was a gift that I am very very grateful for! 🙏🏻 💗
