As the spring sun warms things up 🌷☀️, ants—especially carpenter ants—begin to emerge and search for food. You might spot them around sinks, dishwashers, or other damp areas 💧 as rising temperatures draw them out of walls and structural spaces.
Carpenter ants are typically black and can range in size from small to quite large 🐜. One distinctive feature is the ring of fine hairs at the tip of their abdomen/butt.
If you start seeing ants, baiting is your best first line of defense 🪤. They’re especially hungry this time of year and will readily accept most over-the-counter bait products.
