The Apostles’ Fast, a time when we commemorate the struggles of the Apostles to preach Christianity to the world. This fast varies in length from two to six weeks (15 to 49 days), depending on the date of Pentecost. Usually starts in June ends in July, starting on the Monday following the Sunday of Pentecost and extending to the feast day of Saint Peter and Paul the Apostle. During this time, we reflect on the struggles of the Apostles to preach Christianity to the world.

As we fast, let us also meditate on the word of God and follow the example of the apostles who devoted themselves to prayer and preaching.

“For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ” - Acts 13:47

May God bless our fast and grant us grace and strength to follow Him faithfully. Amen. 🙏
