On 19 January 2026, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) released updated versions of the FATCA and CRS self-certification forms:

• RC518, for the declaration of tax residence for individuals under Part XVIII and Part XIX of the Income Tax Act,
• RC519, for the declaration of tax residence for entities under Part XVIII and Part XIX of the Income Tax Act,
• RC520, for the declaration of tax residence for individuals under Part XIX of the Income Tax Act,
• RC521, for the declaration of tax residence for entities under Part XIX of the Income Tax Act. At this time, these CRA‑designed forms continue to be optional.
