We had the opportunity to paint our vision of Montreal on this big, beautiful wall at the newly opened Centre de Mémoires Montrealaise at the corner of St-Laurent & St-Catherine. Thanks to the MEM for their trust, and to the En Masse team for 5 days of tough yet wonderful work.

An open-edition series of affordable, high quality prints speaks to the heart of the COLLAB-19 project; EM’s response to the challenge of protecting and sustaining our shared cultural ecosystem over the past couple years, through the simple act of drawing together in a time of isolation, fear, and instability.

Richly detailed works map the contours of an experimental, extended online digital collaboration, featuring the work of multiple Canadian and international participants who were invited to reflect on their experience of the COVID crisis.

This exhibition allows C-19 to evolve into a space to discuss the role artists can play when facing unprecedented challenges, examining where our responsibilities to each other and the world around us are at through adaptation, evolution, and cooperation — key components to confronting and overcoming any crisis.
