This series is covered by MSP, and requires a referral from your care provider. If they do not already have a copy the referral form, please email [email protected] and our MOA, Becky, will be happy to provide a copy!

We are looking for volunteers to help us pack bereavement boxes to be distributed to families across the province 🦋 We hope that there will never be a need for these comfort items but the heartbreaking reality is that many families will have to leave the hospital without their children. If you are looking to give back to the community, connect with other bereaved families and/or honour your little ones, please join us from 1-4pm on January 26th, 2025 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. We will be assembling the boxes in a private room and will provide light refreshments for participants. We gently ask that children be left at home with other caretakers. Email [email protected] with any questions and to RSVP. This week is Transgender Awareness Week, a one-week event to increase awareness, visibility and knowledge of trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary people and celebrate the lives and identities of trans people who have existed throughout time and across cultures. Trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary identities are not new, and though some terms we now use to refer to gender diversity are relatively new, these identities and experiences are not.

During Trans Awareness Week check out the Weareallies.ca campaign, which features information, research and stories from people with direct experience about the rich history of gender diversity.
