What an incredible few weeks celebrating the amazing people who make our community so special. Staff and residents came together for an afternoon of laughter, great food, and even better company.
To show our appreciation, the management team rolled up their sleeves, fired up the BBQ, and served lunch to our wonderful staff and residents. It was a small way to say thank you for the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that make this community feel like home.
We are so grateful to work alongside such incredible people who help build a community filled with wonderful residents. Together, we create something truly special.

We have been busy celebrating! 🎉 From our festive Cinco de Mayo fiesta 🌮🍹 to celebrating all the wonderful moms for Mother’s Day 💐, it’s been a week full of laughter, connection, and fun in between.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the celebrations and helped make these moments so special. We love creating memories together and can’t wait for all the upcoming events still to come! ❤️

This weekend we had the privilege of sponsoring a special lunch for Hospice at the Nanaimo Golf Club, and it was truly meaningful for our Edgewater by Chartwell team to be part of it. 💛
While there were moments of laughter, connection, and even a bit of fun, we were also reminded of the deep importance of compassion, dignity, and presence during life’s most vulnerable times.
It’s an honour to support and spend time with residents, families, and the incredible hospice staff who provide such heartfelt care every day.

Trying something new is one of the best ways to make fitness FUN 🎶💪
This week we turned up the music and gave ball drumming a try—and it was a hit! Using exercise balls, rhythm, and a whole lot of energy, we created a workout that felt more like a dance party than exercise.
From tapping to clapping to full-on drumming, everyone got moving, laughing, and staying active together. It’s amazing how a simple change can bring so much joy and excitement to fitness!
Who says workouts have to be boring? Sometimes all it takes is a beat and a ball 🥁💙
