For decades, the geographic center of Nanaimo was an unusable, abandoned site leftover from an 1800s coal mine. But recently, it was completely transformed into a massive, beautiful wetland featuring over 2 kilometers of off-street trails connecting right to Beban Park.
But beyond the amazing new landscaping, this massive neighborhood transformation is doing something completely unexpected to the local real estate market in Quarterway and Northfield.
