7 Months Post-Operation

Recovery from spinal surgery takes dedication, patience, and a willingness to trust the process.

Today we’re celebrating Mike and the tremendous progress he’s made just 7 months after ACDF surgery.

What is ACDF Surgery?
Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) is a procedure used to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots in the neck. The damaged disc is removed and the affected vertebrae are fused together to restore stability, reduce pain, and improve neurological function.

Mike’s Progress So Far
Over the past 7 months, Mike has worked consistently toward rebuilding his strength, endurance, and confidence.

✅ Significant strength gains through progressive rehabilitation

✅ Successfully returned to work

✅ Increased independence with home, work, and recreational activities

One of the Biggest Lessons in Recovery
A major part of rehabilitation after ACDF isn’t just getting stronger—it’s learning what your body can tolerate and understanding that recovery is a gradual process.

For Mike, this has meant:

🔹 Understanding which activities are manageable and which still require modification

🔹 Building confidence in movement without fear

🔹 Developing strategies to manage symptoms and avoid setbacks

Recovery is rarely a straight line.

Some days feel easier than others, but each challenge provides an opportunity to learn and continue moving forward.

Mike’s progress is a reminder that successful rehabilitation isn’t about rushing the process—it’s about showing up consistently, embracing the challenges, and celebrating every step forward.
