Halton Newcomer Strategy

Thank you Community Development Halton for hosting this inspiring event on tackling social isolation. “The Great Disconnect” film shed light on the health risks of isolation and its growing impact across Canada. We explored root causes like urban design and individualistic lifestyles, as well as community-based solutions: neighbour gatherings, sharing meals, sports and recreation, and volunteering rooted in collective altruism. We’re committed to continuing this dialogue and applying these insights to build a more inclusive Halton, especially for newcomers. Collaboration like this drives real change.
