Sgt. William Mann (1881-1980) earned three Military Medals for Bravery during his service overseas in the First World War. Born in England, he came to Canada as a Home child with the Middlemore child emigration scheme and settled in the Mouth of Keswick. William Mann volunteered for service in 1915 with the 104th Battalion and served with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles in England and France. He holds the distinction of being one of only 35 servicemen to win the Military Medal three times during that conflict. His daughter, Peggy (Mann) Irving of Fredericton donated her father's medals, his photographs and archival documents, as well as the fiddle he used to play, to the NB Military History Museum.

Le sergent William Mann (1881-1980) a reçu trois médailles militaires pour bravoure au cours de son service à l'étranger pendant la Première Guerre mondiale. Né en Angleterre, il est arrivé au Canada dans le cadre du programme d'émigration d'enfants de Middlemore et s'est installé à Mouth of Keswick. William Mann s'est engagé volontairement en 1915 au sein du 104e bataillon et a servi dans les 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles en Angleterre et en France. Il détient le record d'être l'un des 35 militaires seulement à avoir reçu la Médaille militaire à trois reprises au cours de ce conflit. Sa fille, Peggy (Mann) Irving, de Fredericton, a fait don des médailles de son père, de ses photographies et de ses documents d’archives, ainsi que du violon sur lequel il jouait, au Musée d’histoire militaire du Nouveau-Brunswick.
