Steam-3D Maker Lab

Yesterday we had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Honeycomb Archway and we are so thrilled to have been a part of this incredible architectural placemaking project. The arch is now open and situated on the beautiful grounds of the OCIS building. It has been such an honour to see all of the hard work and dedication from multiple faculties, organizations, and community partners to bring this vision to life. The Archway, a love letter to pollinators and sustainability, features a hexagonal motif, paying homage to the honeybee hives on the OCIS grounds. The gardens are filled with native plants, supporting healthy ecosystems. Take a visit and you'll see the carefully cut stained glass hexagons and butterflies in the OTU colours - made by our very own and very talented .janette! You'll also be able to see student and community art in the stepping stones created during our lab workshops! We are so grateful to have been a part of such a special journey and can't wait to spend some more time there 🐝🌼 BEE sure to check it out! 💛
