There’s something about Joyce that rearranges the way I think about time. Whole chapters can close but it simply means new beginnings… and nothing is lost. What I love about her perspective is that she doesn’t treat criticism as a verdict but as information. 🤔

At 80 years old (after surviving breast cancer) she went back to school so she could become a better writer. And not because she had something to prove but because she had something to say. 💫🥲

I got my FIRST EVER guest on the podcast because this woman is too special to walk past! What moved me most about Joyce wasn’t the number of countries shes visited (though 187 is f***ing impressive) it was… the complete absence of finality in her. So many of us reach invisible endings.
“I’m too old now”
“That chapter is closed”
“I should already be further along”
Joyce seems to have skipped that operating system entirely.
Not because life has been easy, not because the body aging isn’t hard, but because she meets life as if it might surprise her every day.
