FINAL | Billiard Insurance Group 6 - Chasin’ Turkeys 3

Billiard Insurance Group picked up an impressive 6-3 victory over the Chasin’ Turkeys on Thursday evening, using balanced scoring and a strong performance in goal to secure two more points in the HPH Top Prospects League.

Ethan McTavish led the way offensively with 2 goals, while Matt Legge added a goal and an assist. Gabe Bergeron, Reid Harper, and Nicko Beckett also found the back of the net as BIG generated 36 shots on goal throughout the contest. Playmakers Owen Devlin, Parker Tam, and Xavier Goussis each recorded two assists, helping fuel a well-rounded offensive attack.

In goal, Marcus Smolcic was outstanding, turning aside 33 of 36 shots to backstop the victory.

The Chasin’ Turkeys were led by Dylan Hughes, who scored twice, while Finnley Panciuk added a goal and an assist. Andrew Enright, Bryce Rebertz, Will Gray, and Alexander Holloway each picked up an assist, but despite a strong push offensively, the Turkeys couldn’t overcome BIG’s depth and timely scoring. Goaltender Kale Osipenko made 25 saves on 31 shots in the effort.

BIG continues to build momentum with another complete team performance, while the Chasin’ Turkeys will look to bounce back in their next outing.

FINAL | Apex Hockey 9 - IceLine Consulting 2

Apex Hockey put together one of its most complete performances of the HPH Top Prospects League season Thursday night, earning a 9-2 victory over IceLine Consulting at the Carleton Place Arena.

Leading the offensive charge was Logan Wilson, who exploded for 3 goals and 2 assists, while Matt Thompson added 2 goals and 2 assists in a dominant outing. Levi Kossatz finished with 1 goal and 2 assists, while Phoenix Anderson and Rory Shaughnessy each contributed a goal and an assist. Apex’s depth was on full display as the team generated 40 shots on goal and controlled the pace from the opening puck drop.

Between the pipes, Everett Clarke was steady, stopping 15 of 17 shots to earn the win.

For IceLine Consulting, Max Poirier and Chase McAndrew found the back of the net, while Joe Devlin, Declan Lapointe, Brady Barnes, and Hunter McKnight each recorded an assist. Goaltender Jaxon Howell battled throughout the night, making 31 saves against a relentless Apex attack.
