I often share videos of pups confidently trotting and having fun on the slatmill, but I don’t always show the journey it takes to get there.

Every dog learns at their own pace. Some feel comfortable after just one session, while others may need 15 or more. Maeve took 8 sessions to reach this point, and she may need a few more before she fully realizes that she’s in complete control and can enjoy the freedom the slatmill offers. 🙌🏼

The most important thing to remember? If a dog doesn’t want to do it, they won’t. Building confidence takes patience, trust, and allowing each dog to progress at a pace that feels right for them. 🐾
