Before I share today’s leadership thought…I need to admit something. 🫣

I was in my basement when out of the corner of my eye, I spotted what looked like a MASSIVE black spider. 🕷️😳

Full disclosure here… I tried to whack it with my hubby’s shoe, but it didn’t squish. 🫪

I googled it and turns out it’s a jumping spider and they can compress their bodies significantly to avoid getting squished. Pretty cool defence mechanism for freaked out homeowners! 😬

So… I carefully trapped it under a cup, slid a piece of paper underneath, carried it outside…

…only to realize it was a 3D Halloween sticker. 🤦‍♀️🎃

Sometimes we create an entire story before we have the facts.

We react instead of pause.
We assume instead of verify.
We spend energy solving a problem that never actually existed.
