Tabletop Sports Fundraiser Nov 21 @ Tailgators Ottawa in support of Make-A-Wish Canada
Part Two! We had Ryan represent Next Level and Section 300 Project Management on the lively and thumpin' CKDJ 107.9 hosted at the time by the one, the only Ignacio "Nacho" Bompadre. In between local band music, these AC students talked about the Project Management Wish Events in Secion 300 and 310, the program, and how we raised funds for Make A Wish Canada to create hope for children with critical illnesses and their families. After being diagnosed with a nervous system disorder at just eight years old, Owen has since undergone two surgeries to get his seizures under control.
Owen is strong, and never let his diagnosis get in the way of him enjoying his childhood. Looking for some fun on the water, he wished to go whale watching on the West Coast (where he also ziplined and ate fresh lobster!) 🐳
Sarah, Owen's mom, told us how special his wish was: "Owen saw his wish as a bright light to look forward to at the end of all the medical tests and surgeries. We were able to enjoy our time together, in the moment, and not have to worry about the next appointment or test.” That's the power of a wish! ⭐

The total funds raised by our team for Make-A-Wish Canada is...$2550!!! Thank you so very much everyone for supporting our Applied Project Management Team, Campaign, and Event at Tailgators! Everything went amazingly well. We accomplished quite a feat, but it wasn't possible without you! On behalf of our team and everyone who is affected by this charitable work we accomplished, and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
