Hi, my name is…
Oh, wait. I don’t have a name. Just a number. I’m number 571.
If you look closely you will see I’m pregnant, I’ve been pregnant so many times. I know being pregnant should be cause for joy and celebration but for me, it means me losing my baby only hours after he or she is born.
I will scream out for my baby, I will cry, and I will mourn. My baby will scream out for me too, but it will be useless, my baby will be torn from me forever.
Instead I’ll be hooked up to tubes that will take my milk away from me, and given to humans. The worst is I will be on display for all to see because I reside at the experimental farm. People will come see me in my misery, my prison, my hell. They will see me hooked up to machines and believe that I just make milk all the time, but you see I only produce milk for my children, just like every other species.
This is the only time if year I get to feel the grass under toe, breathe the outdoor air, and roam some land. The farm will tell you they are giving us a break from milking but they are only preparing me for heartbreak.
There is so much I could tell you, about how I am violated every time they want me to get pregnant, about how when I am spent, they will send me to slaughter. But, for now I just want to enjoy the little bit of time I have outside.
