In follow up to our post about the 2025 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night event: here are some pictures from a wonderful evening in support and celebration of blood cancer awareness, fundraising, and inspiring conversations!

Extend Pharmacy - Ottawa's Cancer Pharmacy is excited to be participating in the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2025 Light the Night event! We invite you to join our team or your local event or make a donation to this great cause to support families affected by blood cancers! We will follow up with pictures from the event and encourage you to do the same as you are able/interested! Thanks to Tina Crosbie and our Extend team participants for coordinating and representing us at the 2025 event on Oct 25!

With all this beautiful, sunny weather we have been experiencing, it can be easy to head outside and forget about one important thing: sunscreen! Sunscreen has been proven to decrease your risk of skin cancers and skin precancers.

Apply generously to all exposed skin, especially your nose, ears, neck, hands, feet, and lips. Reapply at least every two hours, or more frequently if you are swimming or sweating.
