After their successful inspection of our facility a few weeks ago, these two decided they weren’t just visiting, they were ready to join the team!

With everyone racing to meet deadlines before the end of the month, they’ve officially been promoted to Assistant Audio Engineers.

Their qualifications include:
🐾excellent listening skills
🐾 strong teamwork
🐾 the ability to sleep through almost any playback
🐾 accepting payment in treats, belly rubs and squeaky toys

We’re not convinced they’ve improved productivity…but they’ve definitely improved the mood around here! 💕

Yesterday, the Ottawa Film Office hosted its 2026 AGM and officially ushered in a new chapter with the election of our 2026-2029 Board of Directors.

A massive welcome to our newly elected Board Chair, Tom McSorley (Canadian Film Institute), and new directors Cory Morrison, Phil Sampson, Conor Cronin, and Bruce Raganold!

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing Chair, Kelly Haussler, CDME (who remains as Past Chair), and outgoing board members Jeff Westeinde, Chris Wightman, Shane Boucher, and Heather Ryall.

Thank you for your tireless advocacy and foundational contributions to Ottawa's creative economy.
