Community Of Care The Perley Health has a long tradition of quality care serving veterans and an ever-increasing number of seniors from the community.
As part of our Seniors Month activities, we sang 'Happy Birthday' to 23 centenarians at our annual Century Club celebration. We asked a few of them what has helped keep them going through life's challenges. Sound advice based on 100 years of experience.

It is with heavy hearts that Perley Health recognizes the recent passing of Kathryn "Kathy" Wright, a healthcare leader, former Perley Board Member, and a champion for seniors and caregivers.
For many years, Kathy brought her expertise and passion to the Perley Rideau Board of Directors. Among her contributions, she was instrumental in establishing the Respite House (formerly known as the Guest House). Kathy helped spearhead the fundraising campaign that brought this project to life - a groundbreaking partnership between the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County (now the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County), Carefor, and Perley Health.
Thanks to Kathy's dedication, this 12-bedroom bungalow continues to provide a safe, home-like environment for adults living with early- to mid-stage dementia, while giving caregivers much-needed support and respite.
On behalf of the entire Perley Health community, we extend our condolences to Kathy’s family, friends, and colleagues.
