Metacognitive Accommodation Service (MAS)

Ten percent of students in North America have serious learning problems, such as various learning disorders and difficulties, ADD (attention-deficit disorder), ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), and pervasive developmental disorders (particularly autism). In the latter case, students need special treatment.

To offer each of these students the chance to succeed and grow in a warm environment based on support for learning and on personal and academic development, the Quick Learning Group has assembled a team of special educators, youth special educators, adult educators, speech therapists, academic advisors, teachers and education consultants who are interested in learning problems.

Our learning advisors conduct an evaluation, which is necessary to determine the student’s learning objectives. We employ standardized tests to identify the student’s strengths, weaknesses and needs; then we develop a flexible and adapted learning program and approach to provide assistance to the learner in difficulty. All students can learn and succeed, provided their problems are detected quickly and intervention is started as soon as possible.
