The Strawberry Social at Middleville Museum was a delight. 🍓
We opened with a ribbon ceremony to officially welcome the Lanark Highlands Basketry Museum’s Collection, then dove straight into teaching strawberry pottle baskets.
About 200 people came through, and 34 new basketmakers walked away with a basket they made themselves. A whirlwind three hours. I’ve never taught beginners this quickly and watched every single one of you leave with something in your hands.
We loved creating and crafting with you.
Thank you to Middleville & District Museum volunteers for an absolutely wonderful summer afternoon, and for inviting us to be a part of it.
Visit the from May long weekend until Thanksgiving to see the collection on display, along with the rest of their collection.

Join us this Saturday for Into the Forest, slow down, tap into your senses and be held by the forest. 12-1pm.
Part of Maplestone Ranch and Retreat’s Open House and Wellness Day, 10am-4pm. Free classes, local vendors, spa tours and more.
