🌿 Tick Season is Here – Protect Yourself and Your Family 🌿

With hotter summers and milder winters, ticks are expanding their range across Ontario. As a result, cases of Lyme disease are on the rise, putting everyone at risk—especially farmers.

To help reduce your risk of tick bites:

✔️ Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants or leggings
✔️ Wear a hat and closed-toe shoes
✔️ Choose light-coloured clothing so ticks are easier to spot
✔️ Check yourself, your children, and your pets for ticks after spending time outdoors

In general, ticks become active when temperatures rise above 4°C. Depending on where you live, tick prevention may be important from April through November—and sometimes even longer during mild winters.
