Close windows and doors tightly, and if using air conditioning ensure it is on the recirculation setting. If you don't have air conditioning and it is too warm inside, consider visiting a local cooling centre. Hot weather is becoming more common during the summer months. Whether a Heat Warning has been issued or temperatures are simply climbing, it's important to take steps to stay safe.

Be sure to stay cool and stay hydrated. Here are some other tips to keep cool during the hot summer months, and some reminders:
• Drink water regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
• Wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing and a wide-brimmed hat.
• Take breaks in the shade or in air-conditioned spaces.
• Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
• Check in on older adults, neighbours, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
