Apologies for the late notice, but with all this warm fall weather, the seeds are ripening fast and need to be harvested!

Community Gardeners are starting up reap the rewards of all their hard work in this wonderful harvest season! Please feel free to visit local and enjoy with your eyes, ears & nose, but please remember: ‘If you didn’t plant it, please don’t pick it!’
Most of our local community gardens are allotment plots, which means families & individuals work very hard to grow & maintain them and don’t want to come visit their plots to find someone else has picked their hard earned harvests!

Wonderful visit to Whitefield Community Garden last evening. Big thanks to Percheron Plastic Inc for supporting the garden in getting a water tank to provide an additional water source for the gardens (They previously relied on a pump from a stream, that can dry up in droughts!) and to The City of Peterborough for providing the land, and the lovely new signage, and Public Works for ensuring the tanks stay full! The gardeners are very happy & the garden is growing great!
