We had a great day hosting the Grade 5 class from BCS yesterday! They got to learn about collecting sap, the process of making it into syrup once it got to our shack, and finishing it to put in bottles.

We shared some details about Maple trees and we also shared how we take care of our maple bush throughout our seasons. They got to roast hot dogs, and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.

Our Mountain was definitely the highlight. They climbed our Mountain and loved it. Some climbed it several times. ⛰️

They may have gone home with Maple Candy 🍁.😍😬

We had a beautiful sunny day and we had a blast with them. Thanks for coming Grade 5’s!
