✨Let’s talk about mobility vs. stability..
What are they? ⬇️
M O B I L I T Y
The ability of a joint or body part to move freely through its normal range of motion
S T A B I L I T Y
The ability to optimally control a movement using our muscles, tendons and ligaments
Can lack of either cause pain? YES!
Can we work to improve either one? YES!
Check out below to see if you fall into one of these categories ⬇️
So what do you need to address?
✨Mobility is needed when a patient cannot perform a full range of motion.
“I can’t turn my head to check my blind spot” or “I can’t raise my arm to grab a book off the top shelf”
Typically they feel stiff and tight. They usually use the words like ‘stuck’ or ‘locked up’ to describe their symptoms.
These type of patients can benefit from soft tissue stretching, mobilizations and adjustments to address their complaint.
✨Stability is needed when a patient’s joint moves more than necessary. This is often referred to as hypermobility and can occur when the ligaments around the joint are over stretched or weak muscles are not supporting the joint adequately. Over time, joint instability can lead to injury if not addressed.
“My low back has been bothering me, it feels pretty tight which is weird since I’m pretty flexible”
“Doesn’t matter how much I stretch, my muscles still feel tight!”
These types of patients benefit from soft tissue therapy as well as a progression of stabilizing exercises.

✨Never been to a chiropractor before?✨
Learn about your first visit ⬇️
As a new patient, your first visit will consist of a few parts..
✨HISTORY
This is the part where you get to tell me more about yourself and why you’re seeking care. To start, we will have a conversation to discuss your complaints and your goals for treatment. I will ask a series of questions as I begin to learn more about you and your health history.
✨EXAMINATION
After completing a thorough history, we will move onto the examination. I will assess the area of your complaint by checking the range of motion of a joint, testing muscle strength, checking for muscle tightness and performing orthopedic testing & neurological testing as needed. Special tests and imaging studies may be considered depending on the nature of your complaint.
✨DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT PLAN
Combining my findings from the history and examination, I will present a diagnosis and explain it to you. Patient education is quite important to me, so it is a priority of mine that you understand the nature of your complaint as we work as a team to address it. From there I will propose a treatment plan that is specific to you, detailing which techniques I believe would best serve your complaint. At this point, if you are satisfied with our plan, I would present the risks and benefits of treatment, discuss other options for care if necessary and answer any other questions you may have!
✨ TREATMENT TIME
Time permitting, I also like to include a small treatment at the end of the visit.
There are a variety treatment techniques available for you including: chiropractic adjustments, instrument assisted adjustments, joint mobilizations, manual soft tissue therapy, ConnectX soft tissue therapy, cupping, acupuncture and exercise based rehabilitation.
