Here's the deal folks...

When I'm out shooting the hockey games for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, the or any of the other teams in the league... I'm often out on the ice in between periods or at the end of the game getting fan shots. Simply because it's you folks in the stands that continue to make the whole show happen. Without you...none of this can happen. You are the 7th player on the ice.

That being said, I've noticed a significant rise in people trying to photo bomb the background by flipping me off. Now don't get me wrong here... I'm all for flipping the bird. However, if my camera isn't on you, photobombing with the middle finger up isn't going to win you any prizes. If I don't catch it in the moment, which I often do, I'll catch it in post.

Most folks don't realize that after the game is over, I still have about 2-3 hours of work to do on the back end. I need to download the images off my camera and organize them, then the work begins... where I go through each and every image: edit, crop, straighten, and delete ones that don't make the cut. Then I need to upload the images to respective teams (home and away), the league and any media outlets that have requested images. It's a lot of work, and frankly you're just going to annoy me and wind up on my "do not shoot" list very quickly.

Ya feel like you wanna photo bomb a shot? Please go right ahead throw up the thumbs, elbows up, wave make funny faces; I love it! Do whatever you want but keep the finger down unless it's the index saying "We're #1!"
