Greener Homes INTAKE will close this month - as early as within 2 weeks. NRCan confirms that intake will be having obtained an AP number (Status = Registration Completed).

This incident in the interior region demonstrates the risk of hiring unqualified workers and installing appliances without the proper certification and without a permit.

An uncertified propane-fueled on-demand water heater was purchased online and installed in the crawl space of a cabin without a permit, by a person without qualifications. Incorrect gas fittings were installed that caused gas to leak into the crawl space. When the appliance was started, an explosion occurred. The explosion smashed doors, windows, and walls off the cabin’s footings and an individual suffered second degree burn injuries to the face, hands, arms, and torso.
